Drinking yet another cappuccino

I can never decide between a cappuccino or a sweet treat. There is something wonderful about sipping on something warm and smooth... I don't care how hot the day is. However, what's a cappuccino without a cookie? You absolutely need something sweet to even-out the bitterness of the espresso! Luckily there are many coffee shops nearby to satisfy my java cravings.

One of my all-time favorites (thanks to my fantabulous sister in-law, Lauren) is Vintage Coffee. Honestly, as soon as you see the pictures I'm sure you'll understand why. Just have a look:

IT'S SO CUTE. There is so much space to work, inside and out. Being a huge HGTV fan, I love how they renovated an old house into this eclectic coffee shop. The curb appeal is spot on, but so is the interior and the surrounding grounds! I would have a hard time deciding inside or out if it wasn't for the 100 degree weather down here.

Anyways, there is something wildly inspiring about sitting down in a coffee shop. Maybe it's the ambrosial aroma. Maybe its having the motivation of other hard-working individuals around you. Maybe its just the caffeine doing its magic. Whatever it is, I get work done.

Today, while sitting at Vintage, drinking my cappuccino and eating my "Perfect Snack" cookie (a chocolate-chip cookie embedded with pieces of pretzel and potato chips), I decided to change the scope of my blog. Originally I wanted it solely to be a travel blog, but:

  1. I don't want to constantly travel. That's not to say I don't want to travel. I really want to travel. But I also want a home that I can live in and spend the majority of my time making it my home.
  2. I want to talk about whatever the hell I want to talk about.

It's plain as that. I want to tell you all about my cappuccinos, doughnuts, feelings, insights, home projects, pets, travels, you name it. So here I go. Again. Drinking yet another cappuccino and dreaming up new ideas.
